If you love to play a piano duet here is a wonderful tool for you. If there is no one around you to play the piano duet with you can make use of Google's new interactive experiment called A.I. Duet. It works by accompanying you in your music. You play some notes and the computer plays other notes in response to your tune.
A.I. Duet is a special tool as it plays with you with the help of machine learning. It just does not play as a machine programmed to play music with notes and rules hard-coded into it and this is what makes it one of a kind. Thanks to Google.

Yotam Mann, Google's Creative Lab team member, expressed that A.I. Duet has been exposed to many examples of melodies and it learns the relationships between notes and timing and builds its own music maps based on what its "listened" to over time. These maps are saved in the A.I.'s neural networks and one plays music to the computer, the computer compares what is being players with what it's learned and thus responds with the most suitable match in real time. As a result, we get "natural" responses. Interestingly, the computer can even produce what it was never programmed to do.
To know what A.I Duet is all about you can visit here. Even if you are not a musician you can make the most of this tool as the A.I. responds even if you just smash on the keyboard. A.I. Duet is basically part of a project Magenta run by Google's Google Brain. An open-source tool, you can download it to discover a whole new world of melody.
