Microsoft takes artificial intelligence (AI) to the next level

Microsoft is aiming to democratizing artificial Intelligence (AI) journey for people across the globe, enabling people to benefit from its endless advantages. With today’s announcement we get to see how the company is reinforcing this commitment and focusing on AI. The objective of these efforts related to artificial intelligence is to accelerate the delivery of new capabilities to customers across agents, infrastructure, apps and services.

In addition to Shum’s team, a number of other engineering leaders and teams will be a part of the new group. These would include Information Platform, Cortana and Bing, and Ambient Computing and Robotics. All combined, the Microsoft AI and Research Group will include AI product engineering, basic and applied research labs as well as and New Experiences and Technologies. Shum expressed that the latest move shows the company’s commitment to using intelligent technology and democratizing Artificial Intelligence (AI) journey to changes the world around us.
