Samsung is never in a rush. Now with Android Noughat, it is taking all its time (as usual) before it can delight S7 Edge customers with this latest version of Google OS.
Android Nougat, the latest version of Google‘s operating system, has just begun to shine in its final phase. As per the expectations of all, the OS is appearing on Nexus devices such as 6P and 5X. It seems that this great gadget from Samsung is in the testing phase with the new software at present. As a matter of fact, it looks that SM-G935F is being tested for benchmarking while running Android 7.0.
Is Samsung Playing around with its gadgets?
The octa-core nature of the SoC shows that this is a global variant. Only the quad-core Snapdragon 820 are used by US and Chinese models. It is quite obvious considering unlocked devices do not call for carriers’ authorization in order to have the software updates pushed. Hence, if Samsung is playing around with its gadget that it has complete control over it is nothing surprising.
It does not imply that the update is all prepared to be pushed to S7 users. And keeping in view the track record of the company, there’s no proof that it will happen in near future. However, it is possible that we come to know more soon.
More testing Phase
The standard S7 Edge is also expected to undergo the same treatment. Additionally, the latest Note 7 is also under testing. While it can be said that certain latest tricks of Android such as split-screen multitasking are there on Samsung’s best devices already, it is not a good reason to deprive the users of the latest software.
Will Samsung change its approach seeing its rival’s aggression?
Possibly LG‘s aggressive drive of Nougat with its V20 (the first device to run 7.0 out of the box) which has just been unveiled will pressure Samsung. Let us hope to experience the promised soon.
