Samsung trying to focus on quality
According to a Korean news outlet, Samsung is planning to restructure its flagship range to focus on guaranteeing improved quality on its Galaxy S lineup (the main flagship line). This change is mainly because of the tight release plan which the company has to keep up with to release both flagships yearly, which affects the quality.
Samsung has not informed suppliers about its plans for ditching the present two-flagship strategy, a representative from one of Samsung’s partner companies expressed.
Do it or do it not?
We can assume from the findings of the report that Samsung may ditch the Note class all together. However, we are not really sure if the company would ditch this form factor completely following the success from earlier Note devices. The whole thing would not be positive for the Note fans as there is no real alternative on the market at present. Replacements such as the S7 Edge do offer many similar features, yet they do not possess the unique features of the Note such as the S-Pen.
What about the S-Pen?
If Samsung makes the choice of ditching this category we will assume that we will see the S-Pen in some other devices. But that is just our wild imagination
