Google Drive is building a Slack bot. Linked straight to Docs, Sheets and Slides, the bot will display dedicated message buttons instantly every time there is comment or an access request in Slack, averting them from getting lost or being piled in your email.

In addition, Slack is going to ensure that content shared from Drive is available to the people in the chosen channel. In case any member was not given permission to access to the Drive file, Slack will intimate you. It will then offer you to update your sharing settings.
That is not all. Slack channels are going to be synced with Team Drive as well. Content shared in Slack will be backed up in Team Drive and vice versa. Developments are also being make on previews, so whatever you share from Google Drive will have a native preview window in Slack.
Admins will be able to running Slack for their whole company from the G Suite admin console. It is what that large firms will most likely praise.
So have not got any news about the official date for when the changes will go live. However, Slack mentioned that it is targeting to have thing out in the first half of 2017. And it is only the start so we can expect more updates with time about Google partners.
