While it has been quite some time that Google launched the Android 7.0 Nougat, out of the 8 supported Nexus gadgets running this release, one prominent device did not get the due attention (surprisingly). Which one? Well, it is the Motorola-made Nexus 6.
According to a number of Nexus 6 owners, even though it is included in the Android Beta Program, Google had no plans to update the Nexus 6 to Nougat. It was not actually true since the company itself verified that updates would be coming shortly. And today, Google has proven to be true to its word as it has launched the factory images as well as OTAs of Android Nougat for its device.
The new build has the no. NBD90Z, entailing the latest October 5th security patch, and weighs in at little over 850mb. Presently, the OTA is available to all Nexus 6 users. However, if you cannot really wait simply download the factory images and the OTA from Google’s official website.

As Android 7.0 Nougat is now here (finally!) on the Nexus 6, it means that Google is a step closer to taking this release to the rest of the Nexus devices. But, the Nexus 9 LTE is on Marshmallow at the moment.
