According to reports, we have got to know that Apple will be heavily pushing AR (augmented reality) with the iPhone 8.
Steven Milunovich of research group UBS stated
According to some industry sources, the company may have over 1,000 engineers working on a project in Israel that could be related to AR.
Considering the recent comments of Tim Cook as well as the fact that Apple has purchased multiple AR companies including Tel Aviv's PrimeSense and RealFace, theirs is much fuel ready to add to the fire now.

Tim Cook has long been praising AR tech. Describing VR as isolating, he expressed;there's no substitute for human contact" – the type that mixed-reality AR apps can put up.
Previosuly he stated that a "significant portion of the population of developed countries, and eventually all countries, will have AR experiences every day.” That is why it's unlikely that he would want to miss out on it.
From a curved OLED screen to the removal of the home button to facilitate slimmer bezels, the iPhone 8 rumors are hotting up. Let us wait and see how many of them prove to be true at its September launch.
