The much awaited Google October 4th event is now not very far. At the last moment, Google is sending out some invitations. We can surely conclude that the company is opening up its big broadcast to some of the public. Yes, few non-press persons are also invited; those that are close to Google.
While the criteria for invitation is not clear, Google seems to be inviting those who have close association with the company. Kimberly Ann Graham, and Ivan Yudhi (the earliest team of Google Glass Explorers and present Local Guides in SF) include two of the non-press that have been invited. Some others have been called through private Twitter DM. Still why and who Google is choosing for these invites.
