Recently Gmail for Android has got various exciting updates. These include app shortcuts for accounts and the ability to send/receive money on mobile. Now Version 7.3 rolling out offers the feature to insert GIFs into emails with Gboard. Just as Google Voice, Facebook Messenger, and similar apps, you can activate the picker by tapping the emoji icon and choosing the GIF tab. You get access to search and popular or recently used GIFs. The GIF that you select will be added to the message’s body. While the changelog offers a reminder for the recently added ability to send/receive money in the app for the US, it seems to be the sole major feature.

Sometime back Google announced that the Android app has support for third-party productivity add-ons as well. On the business side, the firm added support for Exchange Tasks. Now Account specific app shortcuts are available as well. Sadly, the feature that enables streaming video attachments, instead of downloading is still only available on the web. This type of ability will be great on mobile.
Version 7.3 of Gmail for Android is now available at the Play Store.
