Windows 10 has a metered connection feature which offers a limited internet bandwidth usage especially when the user’s computer is connected to internet through the Wi-Fi tethering feature on a 3G or 4G enabled Smartphone. In Windows 10 background downloads such as driver downloads, app updates or system updates etc. are disabled in order to save bandwidth while the user’s computer is connected through a metered connection. Using the metered connection feature, users can save a lot of bandwidth.
