Adblock plus and facebook are at a very serious war. Open source adblock plus community says that they have found ways to block facebook ads, but on the other hand tech giant facebook says that they are winning the race and their users are seeing the ads and opting for seeing them or not based on their choice.

Adblock plus is an open source software(browser extension) that helps users to block online ads which is used by 50 Million users around the globe. While there are too many junk advertising platforms about which adblock community says that user deserve better and clean/ads free internet browsing experience. And its right of the users to choose to see the ads or not.
UPDATE: @TechCrunch @joshconstine say that FB had a workaround, but there's already a workaround to that workaround. Just update filters ;)

Facebook: why they think they are at right side?
Facebook says that their users use facebook for free and they have right to show ads to users: as they also give user control to see the ads or not. They think that adblocking software is irrelevant for their ads and they are at the right side.
"Personally in last few days we did noticed ads are appearing on facebook while adblock was enabled and they aren't annoying."
