We were already much doubtful that this was a device that was close to an announcement. The leak that we came across last year showed a watch running the same old build of Android Wear which was seen in the recently-leaked images. This didn’t appear to be a watch that was about to be released with the new round of Android Wear 2.0 watches.

According to a sources last year, that is the internal prototype model which worked well, but has bad battery life. It will not make its way to the market for sure.
This is an old project that HTC was working on with Under Armor at one point in time. However it is not known if the company doesn’t have any aim to launch it. It appears they’d rather prefer to focus on build Under Armor’s more rigorously health-related products. Overall, HTC Halfbeak Android Wear smartwatch does appears to be much excited about smartwatches.
“I can tell you that we’re not going to have an Android watch. We are not going to have a watch in the short term”.
(Chialin Chang, HTC’s President of Smartphones and Connected Devices).
